"The Sun" from the album "The Universe"

Hi Everyone,

This week I wanted to talk about ‘The Sun’ and what to look forward to with the music pieces on the upcoming album “The Universe”.

The sun is obviously the hottest and most energetic place in our solar system.  It is a big fiery nuclear furnace of gases being made up mostly of hydrogen and helium, with tremendous energy and power to provide light and heat to the various planets throughout the solar system.  It dwells in a heliosphere which entails the boundary of our solar system.  The sun is really cold compared to other stars in the universe.  It is 27 million degrees Fahrenheit losing 4 million tons of mass to energy per second.  From the core taking estimated 1 million years to reach the surface.  It takes 8.5 minutes for light to travel the 93 million miles to the earth.

On the surface is roughly 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit also producing huge magnetic energy in which the magnetic poles flip every 11 years.  The liquid rotates every 26 days while the poles every 37 days changing and swirling the magnetic poles producing huge amounts of energy.  A solar flare is equivalent to 10 million atomic bombs shooting up from the surface at 60,000 miles.  The corona of the Sun is 4 million degrees Fahrenheit.  It provides yet in its perfect setting all that is needed to give us what we need to all things that are required.

I wrote this piece with an orchestration to convey as a busy energetic and a large active display to the way in which it gives us the life we have in a most powerful and majestic way.  It was quite the undertaking to compose in which we can only imagine the vastness of the sun can be compared to our small planet earth.  Being the biggest not necessarily the only active of the solar system, each of these pieces from the Sun to Pluto and beyond will describe some of its activity musically as we continue our journey through the cosmos.

More things to think about.  In the meantime if you haven't listened to my other albums, feel free to share any of following links below:
