"Simplicity" from the album "Solace"

Simplicity

Hi Everyone!


Today I wanted to write about "Simplicity" from the "Solace" album. When I started with "Simplicity" it was not exactly all that simple. I believe as most things we all seem to do is make things more complicated then they really need to be. It started out to be just a melody as music always needs to be and became more complicated then necessary. What really needed to happen was to make the piano the center of it all with an orchestra to back it up. As music continues to come, it was difficult to not want to keep adding more music to this piece. It is the reason to make and keep "Simplicity" simple.

"Expressions" from the album "In Motion"

Expressions

Hi Everyone!


Today I wanted to write about "Expressions" from the "In Motion" album. I was one of several asked to write a piece for an American Express commercial. That was the initial idea, then it developed into more of a music piece than a jingle. If it had been selected as a jingle you wouldn't be hearing it on my album. I really enjoyed making this into what I think it was supposed to be, more of an expression than just a jingle. I felt like it was more of a composition than a commercial that no one would even remember today.
