"Rain Drops" from the album "Solace"

Rain Drops

Hi Everyone!

This week I wanted to talk about the music "Rain Drops" from the "Solace" album. It is that time of year when the season struggles between Winter and Spring. It either rains or snows. I've always wanted to write a piece that had to do with the rain or snow of the season. With 'Rain Drops' it just seemed to add the right touch. Taking a few instruments and defining them to a setting such as the Harp and with other instruments from the orchestra making it a good collaboration of music unity. It is nice to have four seasons to give variety. It is one of the those pieces that allows you to look out the window, sit and watch on the front or back patio and listen to the how the 'Rain Drops'.

More things to think about. In the meantime if you haven't listened to my other albums, feel free to share any of following links below:

Thanks for listening and being my fan, there is more to come.

I would enjoy hearing from you. Tell me what you enjoy about my music and if you have a favorite?

"Obstacles" from the album "In Motion"

Obstacles

Hi Everyone!

This week I wanted to talk about the music "Obstacles" from the "In Motion" album. This piece of music was quite the challenge, hence the title "Obstacles". I started working on it back in 2003 during some rough times in my life. I felt it was appropriate for the challenges I was facing at the time. As you listen to the piece, it starts a bit busy and energetic. The piano being the instrument of focus as the one going through the barrage of situations that we all experience. The other instruments represent that opposition to our progress. It then builds to a barricade of instruments (Like the story of 'Peter and the Wolf') to break through, and finally concludes with a calm "Ahh made it" moment. And yet there are "Obstacles" to come.
