"Unique Place" from the album "Solace"

  Unique Place

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to write about "Unique Place" from the "Solace" album. I started that composition many years ago, around 20 years in fact. I was trying to come with a new melody with some new sounds. I got as far as a few phrases in the melody in the beginning trying to decide what needed to happen. There were times I just wanted to break the ice and try a number of melodies and see where they led. I tend to make a number of melodies and see if they fit in a certain criteria. They are never thrown away, just waiting for the right time to be developed. When I pulled it off the shelf and added the String section with the Choral, Cello and harp it helps transport you out of your everyday world taking you to a "Unique Place".
